DKU Events for Prospective International Students

We are pleased to offer the following ways you can connect with the DKU Community

LIVE Student Experience Panel

We invite you to attend a virtual panel of Duke Kunshan University students from around the world. In this session, you will hear what it's like to be a student at DKU, including:

• Hear from those who are living it, what it is really like to live and study in China
• Learn about the various clubs and organizations our highly engaged students are involved in
• Discover the abundant research, and other cool experiential on- and off-campus opportunities, available to students
• Get your questions answered by DKU students with diverse interests and backgrounds
• Ultimately, come away with a better understanding of DKU’s unique student culture and global community!

You may be working on your application to DKU right now. If so, this panel is highly recommended. What you learn from this panel can definitely help you with your 'Why DKU' essay, the many distinctive DKU features you can weave into your essay to help you demonstrate why DKU is the ideal university for you. If you are interested in hearing what it is like to have a truly international university experience, we hope to see you there!

LIVE Alumni Panel

We invite you to hear from alumni as they reflect on their unique experience as a DKU student. Learn what they are doing now, hear what they were involved in as students – in China and at Duke University in the U.S., and about the opportunities they had to explore the world and careers. During the discussion, you will:

• Learn about their experiences at students – the clubs, organizations and research they were involved in
• Learn about the collaborative community, the student-faculty mentor-oriented relationships, and interactive academic experiences offered to help students find their passion
• Hear about their career journeys – where they started, did they change their mind along the way, where they are now

Whether it’s working in industries around the world or entering elite graduate programs, you will learn how the DKU experience prepares graduates for success.

LIVE Virtual Campus Visits

Like a campus tour, but conducted online! With one of our engaging student ambassadors serving as your tour guide, this 45-minute live presentation will help you get a feel for the campus and student life at DKU as an international student. You will be encouraged to ask questions and interact with other attendees. Your tour guide will share their perspectives and experiences using visual aids and anecdotes, giving you the opportunity to: See and hear about our amazing facilities on campus Learn about life as a student at DKU Learn about what our students do outside of campus, including their travels around China and beyond
